Opening to the public on 10 February, it features work by Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin among many others, along with packaging that showcases each piece so visitors can appreciate its ‘wow factor’ upon first encountering each work.
Lady Labouchere’s botanical watercolours will go on public display for the first time ever at Dudmaston Hall for this exhibition, exploring her connection to nature at Dudmaston. Lady Labouchere was frequently inspired by nature while at Dudmaston and often painted plants in her garden and embroidered flowers onto chairs, handbags and accessories; additionally she collected specimens from around the globe that she later placed into collections at various institutions around Dudmaston. The exhibition will run until the end of October.
This year’s Staffordshire Contemporary Art and Designer Maker Fair will take place at Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek on November 30 and December. Throughout these two days, professional artists/designer makers as well as Foundation Degree students from Leek School of Art (part of Buxton and Leek College) will exhibit a diverse array of their creative work at this annual fair.
