Why Are Staffordshire’s Wine Tastings So Memorable?
When searching for a new wine to add to your collection, a wine tasting is the ideal way to sample different varieties without making a commitment. By sampling multiple wines at once without spending money upfront on bottles of them, tastings allow you to test wines without making decisions based solely on taste alone.

It’s a great way to meet new people
Wine tastings are an engaging and educational way to experience new wines while meeting people. At these tastings, you’ll gain knowledge about winemaking processes as well as tasting techniques – an event can also introduce guests to different wines that pair nicely together and potential lifelong friendships can form.
One of the great benefits of wine tasting is being able to sample different wines without making a commitment. This can be especially helpful if you’re in a wine rut, or trying new varietals; simply by sampling various wines you can see which ones work for you or don’t, as well as asking wineries/bars for advice about which might suit you better.
Planning a wine tasting requires inviting only those who share your passion. Tavi Harrison-Brown of Wine is Wellbeing Experiences suggests inviting those who share this enthusiasm regularly as attendees of wine tasting events; you could also search for people trained formally in wine to avoid those with more “casual” approaches to the subject matter.
Be sure to plan a theme for your wine tastings, as this can help the group stay on track and focused. Some ideas for themes might include old world vs. new world, sparkling wines from different regions or varietals from across the world – and these types of tastings can be lots of fun but can become chaotic too! Theme tastings can also help reduce confusion during tasting sessions.
Be prepared when planning a wine tasting by bringing the appropriate glasses and supplies that may be needed, and adhering to any rules of etiquette such as choosing glasses with fine rims to better appreciate each wine’s flavors.
Prepare some snacks to go with the wines you will be tasting; this will help expedite digestion while giving guests something tasty to nibble while tasting the wine. Also bring along water or soda for those unfamiliar with drinking wine.
It’s a great way to find a new favorite wine
Wine tasting events are an ideal way to discover your next favorite bottle. Not only do you get to sample various wines, but you also gain knowledge on their history and culture – which will deepen your appreciation and spark newfound enthusiasm for them! It also allows you to meet people who share a similar passion!

They use Phoenix and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties for white wines while Rondo provides red varieties. Since 2015, they have produced six wines which are distributed to local shops such as Three Pillars Wine in Eccleshall and Canalside Farm Shop in Stafford. At fairs and markets throughout Staffordshire their wines can also be found for sale; their customers include restaurants like Wedgewood as well as Michelin-star eatery Upstairs by Chef Tom Shepherd in Lichfield.
